Garage Sale day

Today was a success! I had my first garage sale at our new home. Boy am I sure glad that it is over! Oh my goodness, it is work! Thanks to my mom, husband, and sister's help, we did great! And I am so glad it is over. We began at 8:00 am and ended about 1:30 before the rain hit. What a great morning of weather too!

It simply amazes me that my junk, turns into someone else's treasures. We were slammed several times and yet we still have stuff left. The goodness is that the "large items" are gone and the rest of the stuff is stored in the basement until our subdivision's garage sale next spring. We now have a 3 car garage! No more junk and Mike has set up a shop out there too.

Life has been busy for Mike and I. We went up to my brother, Jason's house. He and his wife, Aubrey were great hosts for the weekend. My parents and sister and her family also met us there, the guys golfed and we women and Isaac, hung out at home. Very relaxing.

Last night my mom and Grandpa drove down to our house to help prep for the sale and spent the night, then we had family at our house all day. I love living so close to them all and having enough room for everyone.

Next weekend, we are headed to Branson with my parents for a golfing weekend. Our weekend schedules don't free up until mid october!

Oh and I absolutely love this weather. I know we are all kind of in a state of shock that it got so cool so fast. Hard to believe...but I am ready for fall...my favorite season! Headed to Bath and Body works yesterday as their wallflowers and refills are buy 1 get 1 free....and their fall fragrances are out! LOVE THEM! and they have some new scents...check it out!

My nephew, Isaac is growing so fast. He is sitting up on his own, crawling, and his first word is "hey"...so cute! I have attached a link of photos from a few weekends in august.

I have begun a bible study on Thursday evenings and I am really excited about it. There are 8 women in the study and I think it is going to be an awesome experience.

My job is going good. However, I sure would love to figure out how to work at home. I would much rather do something craft/decorative/baking etc. I just have to find the right thing. Mike and I have been having many conversations about it. I would love to start my own business....if I could just figure it out.

anyways.....if you have any thoughts..throw them my way! Kara and Aubrey were giving me ideas last weekend...I will take as many as possible. I know the right thing is out there.

That about wraps it up for me. relaxing evening at home...ahhh..love nights like this.

Enjoy your evening!
